Introduction

Sing! Karaoke by Smule

Now I use this app - available for both iPhone and android style cellphones - in order to sing a number of songs I know. It's ideal for practicing and developing singing capabilities, as well as having an "Open Mic" feature - where you can record up to 5 minutes of music (ideal for certain songs that may not be available).

Yes, in order to open up the availability of all songs on the app, you'd need a "VIP" tag, and that is an in-app purchase, but hey, it's worth it - and it opens up a number of other effects you can put on your voice.

And here comes the fun part. There's many more music based apps out there, in which you can create your own sounds (such as FL Studio, Ableton, Cubase VST and man more), and we'll delve into a little bit more of that a little later.

Using YouTube

There are many useful tips that can be garnered from watching youtube videos. I am personally on the lookout for any different way in which I can improve my own vocality (even singing with a cold or extending vocal range through practice), but I have discovered a particular video coaching method through "New York Vocal Coaching" - Justin Stoney is the guy who has taken me through a few of my tips to develop my own singing with.

There's a whole heap out there, and I'll keep doing my best to keep my improvements going.

Short and sweet introduction. But welcome to "Singing It Your Way".
